This is my pattern that was inspired by Bauhaus patterns. This was made for my multimedia class. A lot of the process was looking at elements of the patterns and being like a sponge for inspiration.

I didn't focus on one artist in particular. I looked at different people's work and seeing what a bauhaus artwork would look like. I noticed that most of these works had shapes in a particular placement. i really liked the ones that had warm colors. it reminded me of a game with a similar kind of color scheme. so I rounded up a bunch of artworks that looked interesting then made a mood board and color palette.
After making said color palette and mood board. I made a few thumbnails to plot down my ideas. When i went to make my pattern I used elements of the thumbnails. Then I had to place my patterns on products.
Elements and principles were used for this project. One of those elements is contrast. The color of the shapes really make each them pop. The other element was obviously shape. I used a lot of shapes because most of the artworks I liked had to do with shapes. A principle that I used was balance. I am a bit of a perfectionist so balance was something  i wanted to do. The other principle was repetition. it is a pattern so it had to have repetition.
